Heurlins

Heurlins (named after the square outside) was the first of the Clarion Hotel Draken’s restaurants to open. In the premises you will find partly a bistro with street food from the sea and local beer and wine, partly a modern patisserie with pastries and bubbly drinks.

Try the Swedish semla buns

A semla? What is a semla? A semla bun is pretty straight forward really. It is a bun, filled with wipped cream and an almond paste. Despite its uncomplicated nature, or maybe because that, the semla is one of Sweden’s most loved pastries. Traditionally it was to be enjoyed the day before lent, but nowadays it is enjoyed throught the early months of the year. You’ll find the Swedish semla in the vast majority of cafes around town, mostly between january and mars.
