A feeling of sea, salt and sun

Hönöbryggeriet was established in 2014. The first bottles rolled out from the brewery in 2015 and right into the Beer and Whiskey Fair in Gothenburg! Since then, the founder Mats Hansson has worked full time with daily production, sales and marketing with assistance from the family.

From Hönöbryggeriet’s premises at Björnhuvudet, visitors are greeted by a beautiful view consisting of sea, seagulls and fishing boats. The proximity to the sea has been a significant part of the design of Hönöbryggeriet’s products. The tasteful content is reflected by a colorful design as well as beautiful sunset images on social media.

Hönöbryggeriet offers a range of options with everything from fruity IPA, NEIPA and APA to Czech Lager and German-inspired Pilsner. Some favorites among the hop varieties are Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe which offer fresh tones of citrus and tropical fruits.
