Urban park in Frihamnen
Park
Färjenäsparken
A green oasis that meets the river.
Between the bridge Älvsborgsbron and the gantry crane Eriksbergskranen, on the site of “the first Gothenburg” from 1607, lies the park Färjenäsparken – a well-visited city park with walking paths, places for play and a range of different activities. In the park, for example, there is one of Hisingen’s largest playgrounds, an outdoor classroom, a 1,400-meter exercise track, a football field, a skate park, a court for street basketball, and viewing and picnic areas.
The expansion of the park is part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary and is a result of the ideas and wishes of the people of Gothenburg.
