Volta do Mundo – Bambas is the biggest Capoeira competition in the world, bringing together Capoeira athletes from various countries to compete for the world belt. The VMB began and took shape in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, gaining significant support and attention from numerous groups within the Capoeira community. In less than two years, the event has established itself as a brand and the holder of the world belt in Capoeira. Today, the VMB is a regular feature in Rio’s sporting and tourist calendar, alongside events such as the Rio Marathon, the Samba School Carnival Parade, and the Rio Open.
