Sweet, Sweet Nectar – Minh Ngọc Nguyễn

With “Sweet, Sweet Nectar,” Minh Ngọc Nguyễn is presenting a new body of photographs that expands what is already one of the most unique voices in a new generation of Scandinavian photographers. His work is studio based and grounded on the use of still life, as much as it is able to dialogically be receptive and intelligently manipulate contemporary imagery and media. Ngọc Nguyễn infuses his works with a vibrant interplay of references, quotes and often stereotypes on Southeast Asia, and his experience growing up in a Vietnamese diaspora’s environment, furthering the depth of an already incredibly powerful artistic vision.

The opening reception of the exhibition will take place at Nevven on Molinsgatan 11 in Göteborg on Thursday, April 25, between 18:00–20:00. The artist will be present for the opening reception and refreshments will be offered by O/O Brewing.
