Fran Lebowitz at Draken Live

“An evening with Fran Lebowitz” – Fran Lebowitz the cultural and social icon gives two exclusive appearances with interviews, question and laugh sessions at Draken Live.

New York lover, writer, comedian, actor, community watcher and Netflix star – Frances Ann Lebowitz goes by many names. Now it is clear that the cultural icon will come to Gothenburg in November 2024 for two exclusive performances.

In 1978, her best-selling debut book Metropolitan Life was released, followed by Social Studies in 1981 and collected essays in The Fran Lebowitz Reader in 1994. Parallel to writing, Fran Lebowitz has guested in minor film and TV roles, not infrequently in connection with her good friend director Martin Scorsese.

All together, over the years she has managed to create an almost iconic personality, as she herself commented in an interview: “The biggest burden of being Fran Lebowitz is living up to the image of Fran Lebowitz“.

The host for the evening is Christina Jeurling Birro. Christina is a journalist and producer who, in her podcast “Pop Culture Confidential,” has interviewed innovative and influential individuals in television, film, entertainment, and pop culture.
