  • Picturesque Haga and Linné

Picturesque Haga is the oldest district in Gothenburg, with lots of small shops selling curios, designer and vintage goods. In the nearby Linné area, fashion boutiques mingle with trendy restaurants and the alternative offerings of the bohemian side streets.

Haga is a charming old district with an amiable mix of new and old shops. Stroll along the cobblestoned streets and browse among an eclectic mix of antiques, handicrafts, designer goods, books, children’s clothing and vintage fashion. Enjoy a good cup of coffee at one of the spacious terrace cafés, or treat yourself to a full day of relaxation at the historic Hagabadet spa. Don’t miss a trip up to the fortress of Skansen Kronan for a fantastic view over central Gothenburg.

The neighbouring Linné area has a relaxed feel and centres on the lively Linnégatan, where neighbourhood restaurants of every nationality rub shoulders with cafés, pubs and gourmet restaurants. Here and on the side streets you will also find a varied choice of second-hand goods, fashion boutiques and art galleries.

If you are looking for an alternative, slightly more bohemian atmosphere, you can find it on any of the four side streets called Långgatan. Andra Långgatan is especially fascinating with its exciting mix of urban fashion, record shops, antique shops, neighbourhood pubs and cosy cafés.
